A Week at the Beach

Well, we are home safe and sound after a week in Mission Beach! We had such a great time and really enjoyed spending time with the family. Thanks Larry and Cathy for renting the house for all of us. We really appreciate the staycation with the family!

The house was on the bay side of Mission Beach, right on the beach. The nice thing about the bay is there aren't any waves. Perfect for Kennedy to play in the water!

I am happy to report that Kennedy did really good at the house and slept great! She took naps each day and slept just like normal. It was such a relief because we really didn't know how she was going to do. She took a nap every day around 1:00 or 2:00 for a couple hours so that really gave me and Matt time to relax in the sun.

After a nice week, we came home yesterday afternoon very tired and glad to be back in our home. We got here just in time for the heat wave! Yuck! At 2:00 it was 106 out. Thank goodness we have a/c!!!I just hope our garden will make it through this heat!

this last picture was taken about 5:45 in the morning and the sky was the most beautiful orange. Kennedy is going through a phase where she is waking up at 5:30 or 5:45 before the sun is even up! It is making for one very tired mommy! At least I was able to take this beautiful pic!
