Kennedy in Kinder

Kennedy started school a few weeks ago at a Spanish immersion school where she is learning Spanish. By 5th grade she will be fluent in Spanish and English and will be conversational in Chinese.

I am lucky enough to be the room mom for her class and I have been so impressed with her teacher SeƱora Torres.

Here is one sheet of Kennedy's homework. She already knows more Spanish then me!

I am so proud of Kennedy and all she is learning. She loves school!

Good bye Tank

Well, last night kinda sucked. One of my favorite chickens died on my lap. Tank was not even a year old yet and just started laying eggs a couple months ago. She was a mix of a silkie and such a sweet chicken. She was usually one of the first to come greet me when I went out to the coop.

I have had a problem with tapeworm in my chickens for a while now. I can not get rid of them! Plus, from what I have read online, they are really hard to get rid of. Some of chickens have looked a little thin so I knew I needed to work them again. Yesterday all 19 chickens were wormed. Tank has been acting a little different lately by standing off to the side and just standing still. SO, yesterday afternoon I put her in a separate dog cage in the garage with some medicated water. I kept checking on her but she wasn't eating or drinking. Last night before I was going to get in bed, I went out to the garage to check on her and she was having a hard time breathing. I picked her up to hold her and check her out and she died. It wasn't pretty because she thrashed around and was making some weird noises. Needless to say, It scared and shocked me that she died in my arms! There is a bit of speculation as to why she dies, but really, who knows.

Tank will be missed - she was such a sweet girl! Below are a couple pictures of Tank from a couple months ago.

Potty training

Today marks the 4th day of no diapers! Can you hear me yell "woohoo" from here? Shelby has not been open to big girl undies. If you mention big girl undies she would scream and cry and tell me - no, diapers. They fact that I argued with her about diapers vs undies bothered me. Ha!

On Sunday afternoon she came running up to me and told me she wanted big girl undies. I was shocked but totally went with it. It took a day or so but she got the hang of it! She is doing great and even went #2 on the potty! She gets better each day so lets hope we have no more diapers I the Moe house!

Blue Eyeshadow

Looks like my girls have found out how much fun blue eyeshadow can be...

Funbelievable!

There is an indoor play place near us called Funbelievable and it's awesome. It is like a McDonald's play structure on steroids. It is indoors and it's three stories high, padded and lots of play things to do. It has a few slides, a ball pit and more!

Yesterday we went there to celebrate Cameron and Carter's 2nd birthday. The girls had a blast and ran around like crazy kids for two hours. Kennedy has already informed me that she wants to have her birthday party there. Her birthday isn't until June! It was a fun morning and the best part was, both the girls took naps in the afternoon. Mission accomplished!

100th Day of School

Today was the 100th day of school for Kennedy! She was so excited. This week they have been celebrating by counting 100 of lots of different things. Today when I picked Kennedy up from school, she had a lunch bag filled with 100 different candy/snacks that she counted out all by herself. The hat she is wearing in the picture is one she made. The teacher gave them all a hat and they had to decorate it with 100 of anything they wanted. She glued a bunch of beads on. They are doing a little parade on Friday and are having a class party. It's a big day for the pre-k class!

Disney On Ice

Today Cathy and Larry took our family to Disney on Ice! The girls were so excited they have been talking about it for days. We had a great time and really enjoyed the show. They did a really good Tangled performance so the girls were super happy. Thanks Booboo and Papa for taking us!
